The Mission
We are walking across Africa in the hopes that people will donate towards giving communities across the world access to clean water. We want to raise awareness of this great issue and make a significant dent in collecting the resources needed to make this human right a possibility for everyone. We've connected with some great organizations, and if you donate, your money will go directly towards their work in providing communities with clean water. Providing people with safe water is the first step to ending the cycle of poverty, illness, and death.
The above quote describes everything this project is about. It's scary to look at the world and see all the injustice. Poverty, hunger, death, disease, corruption. And there is not a simple answer. The answer is complex, requiring attacks from many sides. But if communities could have access to clean water, it would be a start to a better world.
Access to clean water is just a start.
If clean water was a given, people could have the opportunity to live sustainably. Hopefully, the reprocussions would include that their health would dramatically increase, and worry for the children would greatly be alleviated. Children could attend school and other family members could get jobs and be productive members of society, better able to provide for their families.
